Edwards Mac Scovell is a boutique Western Australian law practice established in 2016. The partners vision for the firm is to provide accessible and commercially focused legal services to their clients without compromising on quality.
The partners have over 40 years of combined experience representing individual and corporate clients in the areas of commerce, corporate advisory, banking and finance, litigation, insolvency and criminal law.
Paul Mac specialises in commercial litigation and insolvency. Paul developed his practice at top tier national and State firms for over 12 years. He has significant experience acting on behalf of clients in finance and banking litigation, complex class actions, corporate and commercial disputes and managed investment scheme litigation. Paul has acted for major banks, Australian and global companies (listed and unlisted), and most of the State’s top accounting and insolvency practitioners. He also regularly advises directors, businesspeople, and entrepreneurs on a raft of legal matters. Paul has appeared as Counsel in international arbitration proceedings in Indonesia and Singapore and has expertise in legal and business affairs in South East Asia.
Bonnie Taylor has worked in the areas of litigation, commercial, insolvency, crime (including white collar and regulatory offences) and administrative law including as a federal prosecutor at the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, in the Dispute Resolution team at a large national firm, as a criminal defence lawyer and as a principal of Oceanic Legal.
Sara Kelly has comprehensive knowledge and experience in administering regulatory frameworks and processes in a listed company environment and has practised as a corporate lawyer specialising in acquisitions, takeovers, capital raisings and listing of companies on ASX and AIM. Sara has acted as the company secretary of a number of ASX and AIM listed companies.
