Bonnie specialises in litigation across a variety of subject matter, as well as corporate restructuring and insolvency (both personal and corporate).
Bonnie’s recent experience includes acting on:
The advisory side of multiple ASX-listed and private company restructures, acting variously for external administrators, companies, and directors, including in relation to Safe Harbour advice;
A large dispute concerning breach of the consumer protection rules under the ASIC Act and insolvent trading;
A multi-jurisdictional dispute concerning a farming Managed Investment Scheme;
A variety of defended mortgage recovery actions both for lender and borrower;
Non-disclosure proceedings brought by ASIC representing an ASX-listed junior oil exploratory company;
Injunctive proceedings against a director seeking production of intellectual property and other assets representing an ASX-listed junior miner;
Many and varied family business disputes; and
Compulsory examinations under the Corporations Act.
Bonnie has also been involved in major federal prosecutions including relating to the 2012 immigration detention riots, drug and other importation offences, tax offending and complex social security fraud. Bonnie regularly appears as counsel in all courts of federal and state jurisdiction, including having appeared as appellate counsel in the Court of Appeal of Western Australia.
Bonnie has strong relationships in the insolvency and corporate sectors in Western Australia and is known for her exacting approach to resolving disputes and achieving strong commercial outcomes for her clients.
